The franchising as a working system represents a kind of specific cooperation between two independent juridical persons. A company of proved trade mark, technology and particular know-how offers to its partners to work together under one and the same name. Franchising is a strategic alliance, a way of pervasion not yet invaded markets which is usually applied by prestigious companies with recognised image. In the contract for franchising the company – trade mark holder (franchisor) which has developed, tried and successfully adopted on the market its business conception, gives under certain conditions its mark and working technology to a local company (franchisee). The object of contract and main asset for the franchisee is the approved mark, the bigger access to clients and successful know-how. The franchisor, however, grants to the other party much more – technical support, staff education, advertising strategies, management conception and other peculiar to the business material and non-material assets. In turn, the franchisee is obliged to stick to the quality standards for products and services provided, assigned by the franchisor and to follow his marketing policy.
